6. Untangling Faith (Donna Looper)
Faith is a personal part of someone’s life, yet how many times do we find ourselves judging the personal belief system of someone else? Belief systems can shift and change within a lifetime. My friend Donna is talking about the process she is in of untangling her faith. She first explains her origin of faith and also the questions she asked herself throughout various seasons that had her questioning some parts of the faith community she belonged to. I am thankful for Donna being vulnerable as she shares this journey she is on because it is one so many of us have found ourselves on. This topic is something I have noticed coming up in the therapy room much more often these days because untangling a belief system can have a big impact on our mental health. I encourage you to listen openly to this beautiful converation of exploration and how Donna has given herself the space to explore her faith in different ways.
